The men were well trained. But also the dogs were well trained. To say nothing of metal detectors, ultrasound equipment, and periscopes, which had been used successfully on more than one occasion.
All were waiting for the starting signal from the general of the Narcos, because it was clear that, for the barrel, it was the eleventh hour.
At dawn on the third day, the “Journal du huitieme jour” intervened with a main article on the usefulness of the army in emergency situations (the already challenged “De militum natura”).
It asked, basically, whether the deterrent of strength had any effect on fate’s destructions.
The debate was joined by philosophers from all religions.
The result was a digest of the necessity of fate, which is not always as necessary as one is led to believe, and of the ethical responsibilities of those who rule the rulers, which not always are as obvious as one is led to believe. Of the leaders of faith, of those of trust, of captains of industry, of high-class captains, and also of high-class whores (because someone saw a certain transitive property – demonstrable, however, by induction).
