Il sito “Atelier d’artista” nasce dall’omonimo CDrom realizzato da Franco Vaccari nel 1997 e con la partecipazione al progetto di numerosi artisti.
In realtà si tratta di un ritorno in rete perché il CDrom nasceva già da un sito realizzato da Vaccari col supporto tecnico e organizzativo di Ennio Bianco e Giorgio de Novellis e il sostegno critico di Valerio Dehò (sito rimasto in rete dal 21 Giugno 1996 fino al 21 Gennaio 1997 all’indirizzo: www.seisnet.it/vaccari).

Manuela Corti ha proposto a Franco Vaccari di immettere nuovamente il CDrom in rete non solo perché il lavoro è storicamente uno dei primi realizzati in Italia ma anche perché c’è l’intenzione di Franco Vaccari di proseguire in quest’opera presso altri artisti di altri paesi.

Manuela Corti, anche come artista partecipante al progetto di Vaccari, ringrazia la Kyros Consulting di Modena per aver dato a disposizione il server che contiene l’intera opera.
Un ringraziamento particolare a Framco Vaccari che, con entusiasmo, ha dato il suo consenso a che l’operazione “Atelier d’artista” uscisse di nuovo nel contesto del web.


Il sito“Atelier d’artista” è stato oggetto di studio presso l’Università di Bologna, corso di Laurea DAMS, cattedra di Storia dell’Arte Contemporanea della professoressa Paola Barbara Sega negli A.A. 2001/2002 e 2002/2003

The site “ Artist’s Atelier ” developes from the CD with the same name that was created by Franco Vaccari in 1997, with the participation of many additional artists to the project.
Actually, this site represents a return to the net, because the CD itself was derived from a site created by Vaccari with technical and organizational support from Ennio Bianco and Giorgio de Novellis, and critic support from Valerio Dehò (the site was on the net from June 21, 1996 to January 21, 1997 at the address: www.seisnet.it/vaccari).
Manuela Corti suggested that Franco Vaccari put the CD back on the web not only because this work is historically one of the first created in Italy, but also because Franco Vaccari intends to carry on this work with the contribution of other artists in other countries.

Manuela Corti, also as an artist participating to Vaccari’s project, wishes to thank Modena-based Kyros Consulting for making available the server containing the entire work. Special thanks to Franco Vaccari who, enthusiastically, gave his permission for the project “ Artist’s Atelier ” to be released again on the web.


The site “ Artist’s Atelier ” was an object of study at the University of Bologna in the course “History of Contemporary Art” by Professor Paola Barbara Sega for the DAMS degree during the Academic Years 2001-2002 and 2002-2003.
